One of the hardest, but also one of the most beautiful walks. Between Malaucène and Suzette, the Col de la Chaine road offers spectacular scenery and views of the Dentelles de Montmirail.

Start from the Tourism Office in Malaucène.
Take the direction of Vaison la Romaine. As you leave Malaucène, at the small roundabout take a left in the direction of Suzette. Follow this road to Suzette. In Suzette, at the orientation table, go downhill and to the left of the C-2 in the direction of Le Barroux (1800m downhill, then a climb through the pine stand). As you enter le Barroux to visit the village: take a left then a right, go around the village. Get back on the road to Suzette and turn right in the direction of Monastère. Continue on the main road following the indications for “Aqueduc”. Take the third road to the left (1.5km after the intersection). At the yellow hiking sign, take the dirt road on the right (direction Malaucène). Cycle in front of the aqueduct, a few meters later you will find a tarred surface. Continue on this main road. Cycle in front of the monastery and continue on the small road to the intersection with the D 938. At the intersection, take the road to the left in the curve (cycle on the small dirt mound to avoid crossing the county road). Continue on this path, straight, to the D90. At the stop sign, go to the right all the way to Malaucène.
Second option via Suzette- Lafare- La Roque Alric- Le Barroux

D90a. In Lafare, go left in the direction of La Roque Alric. Cycle through La Roque Alric and in the
direction of Le Barroux on the D90A
